Just thought I should share some of my life on here.
This is Nathan and I visiting kids on our bus route on Saturday then a group picture on Sunday! These kids come to church when their parents won’t, they wake up early and ride out in the cold, but are happy to come every Sunday. To God be the glory! :)
Swell song and a swell fellow. :)
Sometimes we think that God can say ‘die’ and snap his fingers to end a person’s life on earth, but what we don’t realize is that to do so God needs only to stop saying ‘live’.
Life is a blessing from God. He isn’t a tyrant, He is the giver and sustainer of life.
“And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.” Colossians 1:17. KJV.
“If I find in myself desires which nothing in this world can satisfy, the only logical explanation is that I was made for another world.” -C.S. Lewis
I saw this quote just now, and I really needed the reminder. I figured if I needed it, maybe someone else does too. When I see this C.S. Lewis quote I often think of my favorite verse in the Bible, and it gets my head back on track.
For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. Romans 8:18
This verse means alot to me. Reminding me that anything I go through here, whether it be a terrible event or just a feeling I can’t shake, is nothing. But then again, the way I handle those feelings will directly effect “the glory that shall be revealed” in me, a child of God saved by his grace through faith. I want to bring God glory and if it means pressing through tough times or lazy days, then that’s exactly what I’ll have to do.
