“If I find in myself desires which nothing in this world can satisfy, the only logical explanation is that I was made for another world.” -C.S. Lewis
I saw this quote just now, and I really needed the reminder. I figured if I needed it, maybe someone else does too. When I see this C.S. Lewis quote I often think of my favorite verse in the Bible, and it gets my head back on track.
For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. Romans 8:18
This verse means alot to me. Reminding me that anything I go through here, whether it be a terrible event or just a feeling I can’t shake, is nothing. But then again, the way I handle those feelings will directly effect “the glory that shall be revealed” in me, a child of God saved by his grace through faith. I want to bring God glory and if it means pressing through tough times or lazy days, then that’s exactly what I’ll have to do.
